In response to those who disapprove of a fine hunting dog like this doing agility...he was rescued from someone who had no regard for the health and care of him. The dog is titled in many earthdog events. I do not hunt but do for sure love this dog and have given him a wonderful life . I appreciate where you are coming from with the comments. Rat on!

  • I have a one year old patterdale, and he is a family dog, as long as he gets out for a run everyday hes good as gold, hes very loving and loves to be with me and my partner all the time hes got great character and personality, we was thinking of doing agility with him as he loves his running and hes very smart and catches on to training quick!

  • I have a Patterdale too I'm in Canada and he's pretty agile

  • Lol, he at cruise control

  • I have a Patterdale. I live in the US. They are not commom here. I find the comments interesting. I do not hunt him but he seems to do it anyway. He's still a pup but so far effective in ridding my house and yard of mice, squirrels, rabbits, anyting. I love him, he is a fun dog. He is also the most agile dog I have ever seen. Great with people but I am concerned about him around small dogs. I can see him doing agility training.

  • A patterdale is happy working or playing for f**k sake who cares what people do with their own dogs, whether they hunt, do agility or f**k all!! I own a patterdale and a Jack russell and dont do any activity other than play with them, they both happy so what diff it make to anyone here??

  • Christ I'm so bored of the hunters thinking that they're the only people who know about Patterdales.

I have two. Never hunted with them and they're perfectly happy provided they get a good run.

  • to a dog.. a job is a job.. they love it, if it's hunting, agility or just chasing a ball. keep em busy keep em happy.

  • i have seen my dogs true side he has killed rabbits and rats while working up at our tyre yard he also tries to kill the post man not to menchion the fox he got in a fight with + he was re-homed

  • For all that dont hunt their Patterdale you dont even know what a Patterdale is as they only show you their true self while hunting, and any that say different dont know shit.. I have rescued a dozen Patterdales from pet homes and not one from someone who hunts them...
