Disclaimer: This is just some personal advice, just from my experience. If you want more official information, please contact schools or if you have a pre health professional advisor, ask them. This is just a quick little overview of the application process. Hopefully this gives you more of an idea of how much goes into the application.

On another note, please don't get discouraged if you don't get in the first round. A lot of my classmates had to apply more than once to get in. I think my philosophy is that if you really want to do dentistry, you'll apply again after being rejected. That shows that more than anything you want to go to dental school. I think dental schools see that way too. Never give up!

  • If somebody decided a few years after copleting a ba in psychology that they wanted to become a dentist Is it it possible? How can they get the required science courses? Do they have to take a bachelor of science degree? Thanks I love your videos

  • @brklrocks No just enroll in the prereq classes that you need to take, you don't need to get a whole new BS.

  • Can you explain how to study for the DATs and how far in advanced?

  • @keralina13 Hi, search my other videos for "Preparing for Dental School - Extracurriculars and DAT" That video explains a lot. If you want more questions please let me know.

  • im concerned about one thing. i havent read the other comment so plz excuse me if im asking this again. u said to apply to dental school 1 full year yearly. well that means you have to have you DAT tests already taken. but u need biology education to be succesful. but i ont be done with my biologly major by that point only half way done. would i just use wat i learned in pre-recs and class?

  • @PolishCutie93 Yes you have to have the DATs already taken, or your application won't be considered until you take them. As for undergrad, you don't have to be done at the time you apply, you just have to have your prereqs done by the time you apply, or in the process of taking them and will be done with them by the time you get accepted. It's better to have everything done before hand so that way you can use the knowledge of the DATs and then your application is more complete.
