Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee is a Sheikh of the Naqshbandi Sufi Order. Born in London in 1953, Vaughan-Lee has followed the Naqshbandi Sufi path since he was 19. In 1991, he moved to Northern California and became the successor of Irina Tweedie, author of Chasm of Fire and Daughter of Fire: A Diary of a Spiritual Training with a Sufi Master.

In recent years, the focus of Vaughan-Lee's writing and teaching has been on spiritual responsibility in our present time of transition, and the emerging global consciousness of oneness. He has also specialized in the area of dreamwork, integrating the ancient Sufi approach to dreams with the insights of modern psychology. He is author of several books, including The Return of the Feminine and the World Soul, Alchemy of Light, and The Face Before I was Born: A Spiritual Autobiography.

Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee, a world-renowned Sufi teacher, communicates the importance of inner work, or working with one's shadow, in the context of spiritual life.

  • One might be fortunate enough in receiving an excellent scientific education, having good friends, family, hobbies, sports... life. Then one day somebody meets Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee and instantly understands that nothing matters as much as the desire for Truth.

    What can be more real?

  • Ya mullahnasruddin: I loved "Daughter of FIre"! Isn't it an amazing book! What a courageous practitioner, Irina Tweedie.

  • I have never formally met Mr. Vaughan-Lee but I consider him one of my teachers, and a key one at that. His taped lecture series "Love Is A Fire And I Am Wood" was and is like a very strong thread that keeps me attached to the Tradition.

  • @nadhabramha Check out the Golden Sufi Center

  • This man is fantastic. I would love to be his student!

  • The book is called "Daughter Of Fire".

    You gotta burn to shine!

  • LOVE AND DO WHAT YOU WANT!

    "I've expected wonderful teachings..." :-D

If you read the book you will learn that Llewellyn is not exxagerating.

  • I'm reading a self-analysis book with the further intention of individuating, saving a lot of money in comparison to choosing the therapist-subject scenario.

  • i remember seeing him in the movie One. Llewellyn Vaughn-Lee and Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev made the most sense to me. I've met Sadhguru but not Vaughn-Lee. I hope I get the chance sometime.
