Tribute to the fallen ANZACS who have served in past and present conflicts around the world. Not all conflicts have been included but the major ones have. At the end is the famous poem "In Flanders Field" by Colonel John McCrae.
The song used is "And The Band Played Waltzing Matilda" sung by Redgum......I then followed this by the last post. LEST WE FORGET.

  • Those heroes that shed their blood And lost their lives... You are now lying in the soil of a friendly country. Therefore, rest in peace. There is no difference between the Johnnies and the Mehmets to us where they lie side by side, Here in this country of ours.

You, the mothers, who sent their sons from far away countries...

Wipe away your tears. Your sons are now lying in our bosom And are in peace. After having lost their lives on this land, they have

    Become our sons as well.

  • @timewarlord well australia'a way of life was pretty much developed under the british empire. hence why we've adopted a parliamentary form of democracy.

  • @liverpoolmatt87 Against highly trained japanese marines. I cant believe I posted that comment three years ago. I cant even remember it :(

  • @ozzyguy67 well kokoda was only the second victory over the japanese, the very first victory of which the aussies beaten the japanese was at milne bay

  • @Dookstar69 Good luck son, :( stay safe

  • @Dookstar69 God bless you and thank you.

  • People argue and debate the relevance of the great war, the motivations and the bloody sacrifice of millions of young men, our Aussie heroes willing to die for king and country, for the empire. I think the simplest answer is they fought and died for our freedom, democracy and our way of life, anyone who challenges that is most certianly a fool. God Bless them all. Lest we forget.

  • @SlloydK - my grandad told me so, "if you have ANZACS or Canadians on your flank, the line will hold"..and I saw it with my own eyes in Afghanistan - I'm not interested in anything else that any idiot on youtube has to say on the subject...
