I'm drawing this to celebrate Frank Frazetta.
Yes, I will complete the tigers too :P

Suggest other artwork of Frazetta that I should take a closer look at, I will make at least three studies documented this way.

He was born 8/2 1928 and passed away 10/5 2010.
The more I look at his art, the more I want to see.
It would be sad to think of his art as limited now, so to speak, since he will not create more of it... but since his heritage of artwork is such a potent source of inspiration, it is somehow immortal and endless.

  • Amazing!

I'm pretty sure I've seen Frazettas work somewhere, it looks pretty familiar.

    Either way, good job :D

PS: I cant figure what program you are using to paint. Can you tell me? Thaks

  • @X0RX1 I draw in both Photoshop and Corel Painter XI. I had forgotten which one I used in this but it's possible to tell on the brush menu - It's Painter. :)

Good thing I was reminded. Painter has some really nice "natural" brushes in it that I can't seem to reproduce in CS5.
