Vincent (Starry, Starry Night) - Acoustic & Instrumental Cover

This is my attempt at "Vincent (Starry, Starry Night)" by Don McLean. It's Chet Atkins' instrumental arrangement and one of my favorite solo guitar pieces.

The audio was recorded before the video, so essentially what you're watching is me playing along to my own recording then the audio put back in post-production (hence why my playing doesn't always match up to what you hear).

It made me feel like i was being chased by my lover in a field of wheat. Tall stalks of wheat. And its just starting to get dark after we saw the most bitchin sunset of both our entire lives. And the wine! My god the wine was flowing and delicious. And just as stars come out we hear this sound coming from what appears to be nowhere man...in actuality its this guy. @NutzeroN Look at the end of the "video description"... there's a link. That's the tab I based this version around. I would say I followed 80-90% of it. There were some things I did differently based on other live versions I've seen Chet play (on youtube and such). Thanks for the comment!

Wow... just wow. kind of depressing when I'm trying to figure out basic songs just playing chords, to then see playing like this, and realize, yeah, shoulda started playing when i was a kid, cuz that's just never gonna happen...lol. Great work. Also hilarious to see 2 dolts disliked this... just frustrated to be living in mom's basement i guess??

I completely agree with jpanicacci. I love the way you watch your guitar while you play, it's incredibly serene. Thank you so much for uploading this, I listen to it when I'm writing quite often - I love the lyrical silence in this instrumental, along with the fact I can find words of my own for myself to go with the beauty of it.

I was going to ask how you get the video to sound so professional.... You just record the audio separately and then match it up with an otherwise muted video of you playing the same thing? you really make that work. It sounded really good
