Sonic the Hedgehog 2 , more or less, on the short lived Neo Geo Handheld.

It shares an odd connection with the Dreamcast.

  • Despite the stuttering this still looks well worth picking up :)

  • @XFile2708

On the actual system,. I agree. I need to get a proper Neogeo pocket.

  • looks real cool and fun as well will have to find a emulator i hope lol cheers bro awesome video and review big thumbs up

  • @elcarohw

There are a few really good PC emulators that I recommend more than this trashy DC emulator I was using for this.

  • Great version of Sonic but am still partial to the Game Gear/SMS versions just something about those i just enjoy.

  • @jboypacman

I take nothing away from wither of those games, but I can't help but be impressed with this one.

  • You ought to have done this with RACE-DC. It's got better speed and sound. The file can be found at the URL

    koyote-land sourceforge net

    look for the file RACEDC.rar

  • Neo Geo Pocket is 16-Bit not 8-Bit.

  • yeah the sonic 2 on game gear / sms is a bit odd... I suspect it was because it was not made by sega.

  • @JerryTerrifying

Emulatorsd are what I use for Game Gear games when I review them. I only review GG games I own, but I need to use the EMU to actually record them.

I would use a proper PC Neo Geo emulator with full speed, screen, and sound to record you Neo Geo Pocket games for reviews.

  • @SteveBenway

Thanks for the heads up Steve. I had no idea the thing was 16 bit, but with the added special effects and what not, it sort of has to be.

It is better than most of the GGsonic games, but the last one they did, Chaos, is supposed to be really good even on the GG.
