I'm three years late, I know. But just climbed out from under my rock the other day and discovered MP3 files. I have never owned an MP3 player in my life. That said, I've got vinyls from the 1970's that still play clean and crisp as the day they were bought. And for most of them, that would be when they first came out. The record player itself is from 1972 and has only had one needle change. I regularly listen to the albums on a daily basis and can say with certainty that vinyl can hold up.

Um im sorry but VINYL IS THE WAY TO GO FOR THE BEST SOUND. sure ipods are good for portability but vinyl sounds so much better than a cd or the sound of an ipod VINYL the only way to hear motorhead and live recorded music. Vinyl Lp Records because sound matters and an album is better than digital you actually own the art music and can double your money on ebay for a vinyl lp.

uhm vinyl is notorious for being horrible you idiot, you like backsound, static, wearing out, shit you know nothing, its analog it wears out, its not practical and especially fragile and expensive so you can grovel to your god of money and currency while i enjoy crisp clear music
