@uluatilla if you do a simple search on the web and type in ancient map of armenia, you will see that ALL the areas you are speaking of were once Armenia. The Armenian people from the area of Asia Minor are an ancient people dating back at least 6,000bc. there are even cave drawings of armenian circle dancing and our stonehenge (Karahounge) outdates the other stonehenge by more than 5,000 yrs. Unfortunately, this Christian nation was surrounded by Muslims and they wanted our land.

Arabs, Phoenicians, Hebrews, Assyrians, Mesopotamians, Turks, Kurds, Armenians, Persians, and Greeks all do this dance.
Lebanon does it best in my opinion :)

@uluatilla It's impossible to "adjust" to someone who tries to kill you and to appropriate your culture and present it as their own. You say: "we dont say "revan" yo yerevan." -- You do. Check any Azerbajani web site, they claim that Yerevan was an Azerbaijani city.

@uluatilla What you call east Turkey, is Western Armenia for us :) Yes, this dances come from very ancient times, long before the turkification of the region. And of course, both native peoples (like Armenians, Assyrians, Pontic Greeks, Persians, later Kurds) and "newcomers" alike share lots of cultural traditions, cuisine, etc. Which is perfectly normal :)
