Oktoberfest at the Kentlands

The City of Gaithersburg and the Kentlands Citizens Assembly present the 20th Anniversary Celebration of Oktoberfest at the Kentlands, Sunday, October 9, 2011, from noon to 4 p.m. at Kentlands Village Green.

Amidst horse-drawn wagon rides and pumpkin painting, festival goers can enjoy authentic Bavarian food and beer and lively performances by the Alte Kameraden German Band and Alt-Washingtonia Bavarian dancers on the Main Stage. Lederhosen and dirndls are optional as Alt-Washingtonia instructs and encourages participation in some of their dances. Free performances on the outdoor Community Stage will include a variety of local dance and singing groups.
