Heh when I first saw this in my subscription queue I thought this was an archived interview with THE Joseph Campbell whose seminal works on mythology are renowned. I see now it's W. Joseph Campbell who ironically is exposing media myths.
Great video and very insightful.
I have a quibble about Hearst's infamous quote. Even though he didn't say it he did use his media empire to sell the wars; yellow journalism and Hearst are nearly synonymous. While apocryphal it expresses a fundamental truth.
