  • my god you talk a lot. did'nt learn crap cause i gave up waiting to see the deomonstration.

  • @positiveSOUL that's why it's called a lesson. if you listened you may have learned something. it's not a vacuum cleaner, so i don't know why "demonstration" you're talking about.

  • You're sort of saying this wrong. The dynamic range between the quiet parts and the loud ones isn't equal, there is no range! That's the point, that's why so-called audiofiles don't like modern recordings.

  • @dubified89 How specifically do you think I'm saying this wrong? Are you saying MP3s don't like modern recordings or did you mean "audiophiles" don't like them?

The point of the video is that modern recordings have tended increasingly towards a reduction of dynamic range, ie less of a difference between the quiet parts and the loud parts. I never said they were equal, I said they were reduced.

  • lol! reverb on your tutorial vocals.

  • @theleebird haha...i actually recorded this in a loft with very high ceilings i was living in two years ago when i made this video, so most of that is natural reverb from the room. i should have made a impulse response file of that place because the drum and guitar parts i recorded there at that time sounded great!

  • I have to say I find it sad and crazy when viewers resort to pathetic base slander in the comments for a video - to the point where the person who has spent time and effort creating something to help others on their way gets dragged down into it. If YOU don't like it and YOU think it's waffle go find something else. Just because YOU don't like it doesn't mean to say someone else doesn't.

While you're at it, go wash your keyboard down with soap...

  • Sorry mate it's not like me to be rude I was very impatient. plz delete the comment. I'm sorry :)

  • You do talk alot...informative, but still too much talk. youtube is supposed to be sound and picture working together as a "video" tutorial. Try soundcloud for talksessions. Peace.

  • Yeah, Just like @raheelbux1 said, I'll also apologize for my negative comment.

The name I use, positiveSOUL is a daily effort to live up to and my comments fell very short of being positive in any way.

So accept my apologies and "Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge."

    Peace

  • @positiveSOUL god its only 5 minutes calm down

  • wtf no part 2 . . . .

  • where can i see part 2?

  • wheres part 2?!?! :/

  • @5:10

You said that the quiet parts are equal in terms of range. Incorrect, to have range, you need to have difference. So if they are equal then there is no range. However you can say that they are equal in terms of volume levels.

  • A few errors you've made. The Ten remix does not come with the original master, it does however come with a remaster of the original mix. Therefore the video does not demonstrate how far the loudness war has gone over the last 19 years.
