Yes very true i have flown hundreds of beach hours always approach crosswind then turn 6 feet high you will lose altitude quickly and then just add the appropriate opposite brake to land.

oh yea, dusk landings are a pain, i always flare too soon ) yea beach home owners seem to think they control the airspace above the beach there home faces...funny eh? hope the knee heals fast

ouchy....yea ive had to land on short beaches before and what i do now, is set up fly down the beach sort of cross wind and when i get close to the ground turn slightly like into the wind and flare...takes the fear out of taken a drink :-) hope you were not hurt

Thanks, the dark kills your depth perception for landing. My frantic screaming wife forced me to use a poor quick forced landing judgement. A freaked out beach home owner was giving her shit about us flying. Knee injury.
