Walt Disney - Chicken Little - 1943

It's the tale of Chicken Little, only with Foxy Loxy being a cunning villain who uses a number of psychological tactics to drive a farm-ful of animals into a cave to be eaten. Slightly disturbing and quite political - most youngsters will probably prefer Disney's new, computer-animated take on the story, now in theaters.

@hallber2 The moral was to teach the audience to think for themselves. A truly demented short, especially if you don't realize the original wartime propaganda plans. You have to consider what it was meant to convey when it was first released to the public (1943). It might be best seen by parents before showing it to their kids. Nice day!

It kinda saddens me that so many people don't realize this was the original tale of chicken little, before it became child-friendly. Every tale back then had a moral to teach children before they got edited and the moral removed to an extent. This one involved not believing everything you're told/don't be a gullible fool, and to think for yourself and not follow the crowd. Google it. This is also a great representation of all the people believing in every apocalypse panic that comes around.

A powerful tale about the influence of propaganda. People in the comments seem to have misinterpreted the part about undermining leaders. There's a difference between calling out a leader on bad things they've done and making up bullshit like the cartoon demonstrates. Stay sharp - this film is still relevant today.
