Inspired by David Weber's Honor Harrington novel: "On basilisk Station". These are test animations attempting to depict the wedge as described in the novels. Some embellishments have been added to fortify the visual experience(The moving mottling pattern on the wedge).

  • A military wedge is double-layered.

And it should be farther away from the ship, where could you fit the sidewalls?

But, very fine animation, with god appropriate music.

  • @kubert57 Thanks!

I didn't know about the double layered wedge. I am curious how a second wedge could be created through a wedge that I thought was impenetrable.

As for the wedge distance from the ship, it's deceptive. The ship distance to the wedge appearance is dependent on the visual cues such as the visibility and size of the turbulence depicted on the wedge. Also the ship is tiny vs the size of the wedge so showing both the ship and both sides of the wedge tends to be mutually exclusive.

  • What music is playing in the background?

  • @rogermwilcox youtube has music that u can add to your videos (with conditions). Unfortunately once I select the music I don't think there's a record of what music selection I made. I would like to use this selection again but now I would have to browse thru the library again for it.

  • Awful quality of the background. The model is better.

  • I need artists for a fan project I'm working on, message me if you are interested.

  • Impressive, most impressive!

  • @QuintinFirelyte I wonder if it would work better as animation or live action. The treecat stuff will be the hardest thing to pull off I think and Honor being so tall but young looking too.

  • @QuintinFirelyte Thank you! I am delighted that you enjoy them! I have a gallery of stuff I have drawn inspired by David Weber on Deviant Art, if you are interested. Thanks again!

  • Respond to this video... BTW your animations are awesome. Even better then I imagine when I'm reading the novels.
