Totally agree with.( however i guess you meaned to say "the Finnish life style ") . About the "Russian feel " : i suppose they were tributary to the Russians , in the pre-Gorbatchov era.

@SirBasildeBrush Well, no wonder. Almost half of the tunes of that 'rautalankalevytykset' CD are in fact Russian.

@tommigun56 Pleased to help out. I think the Finnish music style lends itself to these haunting, melancholic, minor-key instrumentals. Has rather a Russian / cossack feel.

Thanks for the upload. This song was also covered by Charles Aznavour as "deux guitares" I believe. As someone else has mentioned, this is a Jewish/Russian song which is also quite popular with "Gypsy" bands. Rautalanka take on it is is brilliant though... long live rautalanka!
