Hagar talks about this very solo in his book. Hilarious to actually see it. Glad Eddie has cleaned up since then but replacing Mikey with your 20-year-old nephew is a f***ing disgrace.

gonna take this down please? this is horrible and as an Eddie fan i am GUTTED that this is still up and being posted by someone who claims to like eddie and his playing....the man was clearly drunk as fuck and has a well known alcohol addiction problem...

I don't know about it being fake. It's certainly possible. I wasn't there to record this, however people have left comments here that were there and they said, sadly, it was real. I'm certainly no expert, but I've played guitar (rather poorly) for about 22 years and to me it all syncs up pretty accurately and that was what his live sound was at the time.This also was just before New Years (in Vegas) and things did start going down hill for him around this time. So I'm still going with real.

@Roger8176 Don't get me wrong though.Edward is a genius on the guitar and has been a huge influence to me for most of my life (let alone millions of others).By posting this I certainly don't mean to imply that he sucks. I just thought it was funny more than anything.I think the whole getting f*cked up "rock star lifestyle" is a great thing.So don't think this has caused me to lose any respect for the man.I think it would actually be funner to be at this show than one of their "perfect shows."
