This video presents a preview for a new software package that Josh Peschel is developing called the Sketched Truss Recognition and Analysis Tool (STRAT). STRAT is based on a modified Rubine approach to gesture recognition. The STRAT system includes a sketching interface coupled with a low-level recognizer that is capable of learning from small samples of user-specific training data. The software tool allows a user to rapidly analyze and classify a set of electronic sketch stroke data for truss analysis. This software package is the first part of a course project for Computer Science 689 (Sketch Recognition) taught by Dr. Tracy Hammond at Texas A&M University
