Hey everyone, thanks for joining us again, Im your host Tatiana Carrier and Ive got the latest on Evil dead!

A resurrection is in the works, and according to Bruce Campell, Evil Dead is coming back to life!

Bruce Campbell, who played Ash in Sam Raimi's horror classic "The Evil Dead," "Evil Dead II" and "Army of Darkness" -- and who executive produced the first and co-produced the second and third -- confirmed a new project via Twitter.

He tweeted, "Believe in the remake, dawg!...The project is real. In the works. Cool as hell. Scary as hell." Well, we cant wait DAWWWWWWWGGGGGGG!!!

Its still unclear what role Sam Raimi, who wrote and directed the original movie will take in the project as he's busy directing 'Oz: The Great and Powerful'... so we will keep you posted on that one!

The entire franchise has grossed a total of only $19.8 million at the box office, and the first grossed a meager $2.4 million. The most recent film in the franchise, 1992's "Army of Darkness," grossed $11.5 million.

But for true movie buffs, the importance of this flick goes far beyond the cash flow...this franchise is a favorite among the genre and has influenced an entire generation of horror writers and fans, so we stand behind and look forward to this project!

What do you guys think of EVIL DEAD COMING BACK TO LIFE?! Will you be watching? Let us know and be sure to subscribe to clevver movies so you can be in the know of all your movie news!

  • @livexevilnation Yeah sometimes gore comes out more nasty then disturbing, like in some movies that have scary music and screaming pop ups. P: Lol i hope they still have that motorcycle sound when the deadite is traveling at fast speeds through the woods.

  • He still looks like he could be ash lol. wouldn't mind a older ash XD. He was funny in evil dead 2. I didn't expect to laugh as much as i was. I was crying-laughing.

  • the first evil dead was disturbing and super scary at the time it was made, the second one had some bloddy, weird and creepy parts but also had some humor to it, army of darkness i thought was just funny as hell (this is my boomstick!:) so i really hope they try and make it scary with lots of blood gore and random shit that litterally mind fucks you

It's hard to say these days, as the quality of films has diminished over the last 12 years. I wouldn't put much on Portman, either, as she's proved to be just as wooden in certain films - Star Wars and Thor - as many other actors and actresses these days. Hollywood cares more about spectacle films than quality and substance, so I am not getting my hopes up.

  • @Elfrunner Who is your choice for best female heroine/action star that you would like to see in more movies?? I'm hooked on Natilie Portman, she was great in V for Vendetta!

  • @AppalachianKnight77

Nah, she's a horrible actress now. She was good back in the 90s - I like The Fifth Element most of all - but these days its only nepotism that keeps her in pictures. Whenever it was that she lost the grace she had when she was Leeloo and Joan of Arc is beyond me; maybe it was the first Resident Evil that did it. *shrugs* If you're not convinced, take a look at the films A Perfect Getaway and The Three Musketeers (2011 film) and you'll see what I mean.

  • @Elfrunner yeah ::sighs, hand trembles while removing glasses:: it looks like there will be another Resident Evil....but it's okay, I find myself strangely attracted to Milla EVER* since I was a kid watching "big badda boom!" The 5th Element and her orange hair, I also think she is dreamy in Return to the Blue Lagoon (but I usually keep that to myself) she has those icy blue eyes that are rare....many of my friends in college were shocked when I challenged that she was* in Dazed and Confused lol

And most of those movies were no good, especially the video game adaptations. Wanted only had a female deuterogonist. Wesley Gibson was the protagonist in that story. Kill Bill was fantastic, but movies like Ultraviolet and Sucker Punch were just total wastes. As for Milla Jovovich (Ultraviolet and Resident Evil), she had only one good female action hero character, and that was in The Fifth Element. And don't forget Resident Evil 5. Yeah, they made one.

  • @MusicPirateOficial its campbell NOT cambell, dick

  • @Elfrunner I LOVE girls!! But when I watch action/thriller/horror/cult classic movies and they are everywhere it becomes quite redundant! Like I said, in recent years we had Planet Terror/Death Proof (Grindhouse, loved it), Electra, Aeon Flux, (sorry to do it again i'm just counting them out) Wanted, Tomb Raider, Resident Evil 1,2,3, and 4!!, Haywire, Sucker Punch, Kill Bill, Ultra Violet, Underworld, Bloodrayne, High Tension etc. And now the new Evil Dead is a chick! Just not likin' it u know?
