First Drift HD 170 test onboard Robin DR400

Here is the first test of my new DRIFT HD 170. Mainly bought in complement of a GoPro HD for its mic input, I enjoy having it to record video and audio simultaneously. During this short flight between St-Cyr (LFPZ, on of my home base) and Toussus (LFPN), we encountered some birds (check at 00:46) with one which almost transformed this flight in an nightmare. Not so far from a bird strike. Obviously we are with our plane in "their" world.

@joppertpeperkamp Drift proposes a optional cable which allows to connect any 3.5 mm Jack source to it. Add a Barnstormer cable (for example) plugged on any seat's headset output and that's it.

Bonjour Vincent.
J'aurais une question concernant la HD170. Comment fais tu pour brancher ton cable PA-80 (avec si j'ai bien regardé les images une prise jack micro standard) sur la prise micro de la HD170 qui est une prise AV Out. As tu un adaptateur?

@chenoir Il existe un cable optionnel pour la Drift qui permet de disposer d'une entrée audio IN mini-jack.

Sympa la vidéo....mais j'ai une question.... de retour à St. Cyr vous annoncez être dans un Cessna 152, or on a l'impression que vous êtes en aile basse, non ? Ou alors ce sont les haubans en grand angle ?

@Brontosauredumarais Le message que tu entends d'un Cessna qui rentre par le secteur nord... n'est pas émis par nous... A ce moment-là, nous sommes déjà en finale ;-) Et il s'agit donc bien d'un DR400, pas l'ombre d'un doute là-dessus ;-)

J'ai dévoré ton blog, super intéressant, j'ai fait ma première nav hier au canada où je viens de m'installer, c'est vrai qu'il y a de sacrés différences dans les procédures ! Bon vol
