People today continually make bad choices, with little or no regard for themselves and or those around them. Those who smoke and drink for instance, repeatedly place themselves as "High Risk" patients for diseases like emphysema and cancer alike, while encroaching on those around them with the same fate. It takes a pretty weak individual to continue inhaling the effects of nicotine while fully aware of the consequences. Why continue with something that you know will take your life or at the very least shorten it? Not to mention the fact that you are spreading your second hand smoke to those around you, who have no desire whatsoever to inhale it.

The decision to stop smoking is an important one to make. It is not like choosing between Mac and PC computers as this decision will affect how you spend the rest of your life here on earth. I guess smokers probably do not realize that their habit is one that follows them wherever they go, leaving the smell of an ashtray in their wake. The federal government is making strides to place "shocking" photographs on the packages of cigarettes in an attempt to help these smokers reduce their intake and eventually quit. Sadly, I doubt it will make the slightest bit of difference to many smokers today.

  • Let's put pictures of mangled bodies on car commercials too while were at it since cars kill lots of people, and pictures of clogged arteries and fat people on hamburger wrappers since they cause heart disease and obesity.....and pictures of liver's with cirhosis on bottles of alcohol...pictures of slaughtered animals on meat.....

The funny thing is that tobacco is not carcinogenic until it is processed, so why have they not changed the processing?

  • @undeadpresident . The decisions we make are ours and just in case anyone thinks I am suggesting that smoking is the only problem that we have, you may want to watch some of my other videos. 99.9% of the people who respond negatively to this video are smokers themselves and they obviously choose to continue with the habit. If that's your choice, you have the right to make it. I made the choice to kick the habit years ago and the more I know about smoking, the better I feel about my decision.

  • @esprt09 - I am sorry that you consider my video as propaganda, however I suspect that you are being severely tempted by the addiction of your smoking habit. I too was a smoker and made the choice to kick the habit. There is no reason why I should allow something to "control" my life the way smoking did. (3 packs a day) when I am able to enjoy healthier living and cleaner air.

    Thanks for you comment

  • lol smoking nicotine makes me trow up, and drinking doesn't(unless I drink much of course)...but i just don't like that stuff really, the high is kinda more painful then good. that's why I smoke the GREEN stuff! it takes away my headaches, and Ive always have had headaches a lot, especially after working out. and it just works for me at times too....but "I doubt it will make the slightest bit of difference" because this video seems like its made by a person that only goes down the straight and

  • @djbroncoroc Many years ago I used to smoke, in fact I smoked three packs a cigarettes a day, a very nasty habit! I am not perfect by any means, yet I can't help but think that it is our choice to fly the straight and narrow path. We are all capable of making that move, if we really want to that is.

  • aditives in tabaco makes sick ,

  • @siboiss nope I don't smoke but I agree that if people want to it's their right. I think the word "addiction" is more appropriate than "habit" as it is very addictive.

It's ironic that cannabis is much less harmful and addictive and has great medical and industrial uses but remains illegal. Psilocybin mushrooms are less harmful and habit forming than either and have even greater punishments for possession. It's a really medeival mindset that our society has.

  • Hitler was a fanatical anti-smoker..think about that the next time you put out an anti-smoking propoganda video.

  • narrow path
