Last year I read a novel that inspired me, and changed my life.
'Samson and Sunset' by Dorothy Annie Schritt, is an epic drama, spanning nearly two decades in the lives of Callie and Shay Westover.
Synopsis: Callie is from 'the wrong side of the tracks' ; a virgin in every sense of the word. After a date takes a dark turn, she is with child. Soon after, she meets the very popular Shay. He is popular, handsome and charming, and sweeps Kathrine ( he nicknames her Callie) off her feet.

Together, they face obstacles, supporting eachother and making eachother better and stronger.

PURELY FOR ENTERTAINMENT: I made this video as a tribute to this remarkable story, as well as my favorite actors, actresses, films and music.

I do not own any of these clips or the music. Made with love for all who believe in true love. 'Samson and Sunset' will make you believe in true love again.

Hey fans, I wrote a comment a few days ago that I wanted to read the book again after seeing this video, ( and I did ). Everything came to life like I was a part of the story. The second time I read the book. I cry when I watch this video and now I did also when I read the book. again. All I have to say is Lifetime and Hallmark networks, you better snap this story up, before someone else gets it. I have watched your movies for years and I think this is one story you need to put into film.

This is the most heart felt book I have read in a long time.  Then to see the video with the characters coming to life, and it made me want to read this book again. This novel should be made into a movie so we can watch a true old fashioned love story that never seems to exist anymore. If this video and this book can't touch your heart,(then nothing can). Hats off to the author of the book and to the creator of this video.

I love this video, it is so heartfelt and touching, to what real love is all about.

Since I don't know how to do this, could someone please send this video to Ellen, The Doctors, Own Channel, Doc. Phil, and Doctor Laura. They need to see this touching video, the love between a wife and husband. The way love and marriage can be so sensual, it can survive all obstacles. I tell you they need to read this novel.

It's a very beautiful video. Dottie has a very unique writing style and the novel was a great tribute to the story. It brings the warmth and the heart of the meaning out. It basically combined all of the essentials and feeling into one with a great track that suited it perfectly.

OMG, where have they been hiding this novel. I saw this beautiful video, my favorite stars, and my favorite singer, I found myself in a daze. What a tribute to these artists, where is this author hiding. It was like my best friend just telling me about her life, (life in the 60s and 70s), at first it seemed very good, but moved a bit slow, then I hit chapters 12, 13, 14. I spent the whole night up, I couldn't put it down. Someone, maybe even me, must send this to the the Oprah Book Club.
