I had just received my lunch from a fast food restaurant at 151st and 69 Highway. I took my first bit and heard a familiar noise. I rolled down my window and sure enough the tornado sirens were sounding. Wasn't expecting any tornadoes today, but you never know! Checked Radarscope (my iphone app for storm chasing). Sure enough there was a tornado warning and it was headed right to my position.
If I chased it was going to make me late for my 11:30 appointment. I haven't seen a tornado since 2006 so the chase was on! The couplet on the Storm Relative Velocity was headed pretty much right to me. I received very heavy rain at my location. Eventually i could make out a lowering on the back end of the storm, still to my SSE.
I proceeded East on 151st towards Nall Ave. This is where the video starts. Unknown to me there had just been a brief touchdown at 159th and Nall. This type of particular storm will usually produce very short lived and weaker tornadoes. I then proceeded North on Nall to 135th. I Went East on 135th to a North on Roe. I eventually crossed over I-435 and that is where the video ends, in the parking lot of a business.
Chasing through the city with traffic and trees is pretty useless. I was able to make it to my 11:30 appointment only being 30 mintues late!
There are no "tornadoes" in my video. You will see some uplift, spinning and rotation, but nothing that will make you wet yourself. All and all a fun little chase to get the season going.
0:41 is that the sprint headquaters?

Nope...the closest I got to Sprint headquarters was about Roe and 119th. The area of circulation was moving NNE. I started at 151st and Nall and headed North from there.
