Safety Harbor Kids Project - Okay That You Cry (Video)

The Mission of Safety Harbor Kids is to build a support system for homeless children and orphans. Through community events and activities, we pair disadvantaged kids with caring community members and provide education in the areas of Career, College and the Arts.

Within the United States, 80 percents of the children who have grown up in foster homes end up homeless and 60 percent end up in jail. Approximately 100,000 children are homeless in Los Angeles County. One out of every three children in Los Angeles County lives in a family at or below the poverty line. Safety Harbor Kids goal is to help these children break the vicious cycle of homelessness, poverty and jail.

Our Vision: SHK vision is to provide a family environment for orphans and at-risk children. We seek to connect children in need with charity minded community members to share knowledge and establish lasting, supportive relationships.

What We Do: SHK provides support in the areas of Career, College and the Arts to hundreds of orphans and homeless children through multiple foster homes and shelters throughout Los Angeles including Vista Del Mar, Kids to Kids, Espinosa House, Hathaway Sycamore, School on Wheels, LA Family Housing, The Midnight Mission, Union Rescue Mission, Women's Care Cottage. Many of these children are less than 1000 days from being on the street, with little education, and no family of fraternal support system to help them get a start in life. Safety Harbor Kids prepares children to succeed.
