The beehives subassemblies are made by casting of rigid polyurethane (PUR), plastic material with low unit weight, which, on the top of the parts appears as a rigid and even crust and with an inner spongious/porous structure, and closed cells. The beehive complies with the shape and sizes foreseen by STAS 8128/90, regarding the multistoried vertical beehive. This pattern is the most used by the Romanian beekeepers and also approved by European Union.
The intended and materialized OBJECTIVES, benefiting by the physical-chemical features of the polyurethane and patented innovative technical solutions, used in the production process, are the followings:
- low net weight, approx. 11-15 kg, depending on the pattern
- carrying out a performant heat insulation and sound reduction
- preventing the formation of fungus and other microorganisms
- preventing the water infiltration from rainfalls through joints and bee entrance
- efficient and quick disinfection, with cheap aqueous solutions
- ventilation improvement
- efficient supervision of pests attack
- delivery in typified elements, which are assembled by beekeepers, resulting in space and delivery saving
- multistoried possibility, during the pastoral transportation
