@fenriz218 Hah, I haven't seen it to be honest. I just favourited it for later viewing, question of learning about the history of other North African countries. The biggest bump on the road ahead for the DPRK is to come after Kim Jong Il's death. If Kim Jong Un manages to reign in his father's kingdom, the status quo will prevail. If not, it will probably evolve into something similar to what happened in China after Mao.

@Katyusha666 A highly optimistic, even though not an impossible outcome. Anyhow, it will remain interesting. The progress in the NK/SK situation seem so slow, one wouldn't imagine much change in our lifetime - then again, when a disagreeable wall in my country collapsed, we didn't see it coming that fast.

BTW: thanks for the Omar Mukhtar movie link on your page - having last seen this film when I grew up in Lybia, one got all nostalgic.

@fenriz218 Not entirely true, the same could have been said about the Chinese after Mao, so why should the North Koreans be any different? Many economists say that if South Korea ever takes over the North, it will become an economic superpower given the South Korean know-how and the North Korean cheap labor. In any case, all hope is not lost. North Koreans may seem brainwashed, but all tourists see is Pyongyang with its 3 million actor-citizens. The rest isn't as brainwashed as you may think.

@durkeeinkorea Problem would be, that "pulling the veil" is more difficult than it sounds. I suggest you read the book "1984" by a man called Orwell. Having seen some other stuff on NK, I believe they are at a point, where they'll see five fingers instead of four.

It would take quiet an effort to re-brainwash them to our frequency. Besides, for SK this would mean almost 25 million unemployable new citizens who have learned nothing but singing and clapping (literally).

I prefer to speak of the North and the South of Korea, not North Korea and South Korea because in the end, we are just the same people, blood, language. Ideology and studity has divided us and brought us to this absurd situation... I sincerely, wholeheartedly hope that our nation reunites as it should be, before I die, like other youtuber said before. Om a random note: My parents always say that the North has the most beautiful girls, while the South has the most handsome men... well just that.
