@dragonballz768 nothing after 05 though. before 05, v6 mustangs had under 210 i think. i know my moms, which was a 2001 had 190. and after driving that a few times, my g6 would have smoked it.

@fbmderek that's where I kinda lost you there. In your first comment you said "I drive an 05 G6 and they are rated at 200hp" But since you said it was a GT model I can see where the 200 would come from. My G6 puts about about 165 or 170hp. I'm pretty sure the G6 GT would put up a fight against a V6 Mustang.

and where is it said that the mustangs a v8? im not doubting anyone im just a skeptic. id love to think my g6 can beat a mustang but unless the mustangs 04 or older and only a v6, i dont see it happening.

@fbmderek I doubt the Mustang was trying. My cousin has a 06 Mustang GT and it puts out 300hp. The G6 alone puts about 170 tops. Don't forget the Mustang also has a V8 in it so it would have more power compared to a 4 cylinder engine. The more hp the faster it is.

If it was Pontiac G6 GT it would probably give the Mustang a little run for it's money. The G6 GT puts out about 220 with a 3.5L V6.

@menserbrad I own a G6 just a 2.4L 4 cylinder. 2007 model. They are very nice cars. What does your GT have? Is it like a 3.5L V6? Somewhere in that range?

i drive an 05 g6 and they are rated at only 200hp. i know most mustangs over 2003? are over 225 i believe. yes their heavier but are more tuned for performance than a g6 is. im drunk sorry but i guess what im saying is it didnt seem like the mustang was trying. and not because i think their faster, but because it just plain didnt seem like it.
