Front tire locked up because of some aluminum in the brake rotor. Drove back to pits with locked tire.

  • Actually, when I came around the corner, the left front tire locked up....and this caused the car to swerve and hit the cone. The wheel was locked apparently because the brake rotor melted and a chunk of aluminum got stuck in the brake caliper. Can you see the black streak on the asphalt from the locked tire as I drive it back to the pits?

  • You used aluminium for brake discs and you got a tech pass? Unbelievable.

  • the rotors probably expanded so much that it starts rubbing on the upper side of the caliper, that happened to our car once. Our new calipers are designed to accommodate for expansion

  • Damn...don't build my race car please lol. How does your brake rotor MELT?

  • What?! the brake rotor melted???? Did you use alu discs? See you in competition and greets from Darmstadt

  • Lol, That wasnt a locked tyre, It was a CONE!
