Ys 3: Wanderers from Ys is an action RPG role playing game developed by Nihon Falcom Corporation. Released for Turbografx-CD / Turboduo video game console in 1991. It is the third game in the Ys series. The gameplay of Ys III is a departure from the previous two games. Instead of the previously used top-down camera view, Ys III has become a side-scrolling platform-action styled game. The combat has also changed: the player must push a button to make Adol swing his sword and attack enemies. The RPG-style statistics and experience system still exists in Ys III, however. A new addition to this area is the "ring" system: Adol can acquire and equip rings that provide special effects while equipped. A new attribute, "Ring Power", is consumed while rings are active. Terrible anime cut scenes? I don't think so. It's just that the style Hudson used is... old. Honestly, that's why I love PCE. PCE cutscenes just beautiful IMHO. Well, more like the fact they wanted to recreate a moving picture using an image editor similar to Paint :) I like how 'raw' it is.

  • SNES>UNIVERSE

  • 0:53 ........Adol? D:

  • One of the best games on PCE!!

  • i tried to play the other versions that were on snes (downloaded japanese roms) but the game play seems boring compared to this one.....kind of like the extra artwork in the inbetween scenes....too bad snes didnt have that detail

My favorite game when i was a kid

  • @CommodoreKulor ME TOO!! LOL!

  • The voice came in and I thought it was a lets play...!

  • disgustingly good game. The terrible voice acting and terrible anime cut scenes (always reminded me of Record of Lodoss War) coupled with strangely compelling gameplay and the incredible soundtrack makes for one of my favorite experiences in gaming history. Ever. Glad I own a hard copy of it.
