Kurt Link studied from 1945-1949 at the Kunstakademie Dusseldorf.
Zusammen mit Josef Beuys, Erwin Heerich ua war er ein Student der ersten Stunde in der Klasse von Ewald Mataré. Together with Joseph Beuys, Erwin Heerich among other things, he was a student of the first hour in the class of Ewald Mataré.

Thanks mate!

I was working on a documentary for TRT (Turkish Radio and Television) in the Black sea region and ended up in Cappadocia for 6 weeks in June 1994. Kurt was already living there and painting the landscapes for over 8 years with his wife and two children. He took me to many locations that he found interesting to paint. They were many beautiful sites. Indeed, it is a surreal place BUT with real dark history. I think Cappadocia is one of the most incredible regions of the world.

I lived in Cappadocia for more than a year in 80s. A very surreal landscape.
