@Hagues not slow enough....lol. Perhaps you are right about this one and it being soundcheck but I am pretty sure there have been occasions where some screams were on tape. There is even a video out there were the scream is screaming but Mike isn't. In fact I think it is this song......found it, 3NulDI2Cy0E just ad that after the = in the address bar.

@ewaters70 But again, It's not a big deal I would just rather hear him sing the way he can sing today....not yesterday. Won't stop me from attending or enjoying Stryper though, as they are one of my all time favs

@opie1kanobie I meant no disrespect. After watching Live in Japan enough and then seeing this you have to laugh a little. And the way he looks as Oz as if to say "Save me." :)
As someone told me on that other video, the song was new and he hadn't learned all the words yet.

what amps are they using mesa, anyone??? Thanks

@tgwdoughboy Dude! This is a sound check that someone videoed. He is most likely saving his voice for the concert. But, hey, I do remember the video where he wasn't singing all the words...not sure if that was on purpose.
finally proof that Mike can't hit all the screams anymore and some of them are on tape. It's all good Mike just sing what you can and lose the tapes. We want to hear you not technology.

@ewaters70 Its nothing of the sort. This is an impromtu performance during a sound check, of course Mike is not going to blow out his voice singing a song he hand't sung for years a few hours before a show.

@Hagues well agree to disagree as I have seen many videos where the scream actually starts before he opens his mouth. In this case he went for the scream and the tape did not play, then he stopped the song and said the mic was not on. Watch Soldiers from Tivoli from a few years ago, the scream at the end....he clearly opens his mouth to scream and then the scream fades in, like the guy running it was late on the volume.

@ewaters70 Ok I'll spell this out nice and slowly. This was a soundcheck - Surrender was not on the set list - Stryper had not sung Surrender for a number of years - the band were about to play The Rock That Makes Me Roll - due to my pleading they agreed to play Surrender - there is no way Mike would have expected a tape to do the scream - Mike pretended to go for the scream to tease us, not because he thought a tape was going to do it - ergo this video does not prove your conspiracy.
