http://vault.ncaa.com/ Michigan's Fab Five earned another shot at the National Title in 1993. In one of the most bizzarre endings in tournament history, Michigan's Chris Webber called a timeout with 20 seconds remaining with the intention of setting up a potential game-winner against North Carolina. It backfired, however, when he learned that his team had zero timeouts remaining. Tournament MVP Donald Williams sank free throws to seal the win.

Looking at it slowed down, I do think Webber dragged the foot an instant before he started to dribble. But in real time, it's very hard to tell. I doubt any ref on the planet calls that travel in that situation.

And why did Chris Webber bring the ball up the floor and drive to the corner in the first place.

The travel was a terrible no call because UNC was looking for it and the ref shook his head.
