The dis-likes for the video must be Oliver haters. I guess everyone can't own the a tractor that is the right shade of green. ;)

@Conrail6370 farmal H built from 39 to 53 and oliver 77 built 48 to 54

ChuckE2009 , Chuck, the H is alot older then at Oliver too, That would explain why it didn't work well. the H's were built in the 1930's and that Oliver was built in the 1950's.

its called harvesting corn u hik

@SmokinDodge nope i dis likes because he asked to like it ! bad thing to do :)

How long would you reckon it took you to harvest the half acre of corn?

@testa375L If a Oliver 77 is pulling it, the Nebraska test PTO horsepower on the gasoline model was 33 hp. A Farmall H has around 23 hp, a Farmall M is stronger than an Oliver 77, but I would rather pull that corn picker with a 77, it has an independent PTO.
A Kubota L3240 has 30+ horsepower though, so I think you should be good.
does your truck have a 350?

I dont know what it is, and no one seems quite sure. Phil has a farmall H that he tried with the picker a year or two ago, and it barely had enough power to run it. This oliver is way more powerful, and it has power to spare. Farmall H pto hp: 23 or so, oliver 70 pto hp: 37 or so.
So, somewhere between those two, like farmall M sized or bigger.
