The blo-kart is another fun toy I use to enjoy the power of wind. I shot this video in the winter of 2006 - it is kind of shaky since I held the camera in my hand while sailing (I don't recommend this).
A very fun toy - as evidenced in this short video. Filmed in Maine, on a small lake near Sebago Lake.

That is SO cool. I am actually designing an ice sail for a school project. Do these things have blades on them? (like metal blades)

I would love to do that...or Kitewing. Ice is the best fastest surface eitherway, I would bet. very cool.

what type of wind was blowing? is the iceskate bit a custome modification or did you purchase it from the blowkart place?

The skates on my Blo-Kart are somewhat custom, since they are a modified SARNS runner (like those used on DN boats). Blo-Kart makes their own runners - which can be seen on the other boat sailing with me.
Granted, the hardware on my boat is not as pretty as the factory skates - they offer more weight and a bit more stability in the gusts in comparison to the factory skates.
Winds on the day we were sailing? Probably 15-20 mph (maybe higher gusts) it was pretty windy.
