PC - Spear of Destiny - Level 21 (Angel of Death)

What it is: A gameplay video of Spear of Destiny Level 21 and the final boss battle of the game. Done in a single run, from a pistol start, and on Death Incarnate difficulty. Game was invoked with -hard -tedlevel 20 parameters for this (It is NOT a direct continuation of the Death Knight battle, the game was launched again).

How was it done: Emulated and recorded with DOSBox 0.70, the resulting AVI file with the ZMBV codec was decompressed using Virtual Dub 1.7.1 and later recompressed again with Windows Movie Maker in WMV format with a 512 KBits Bitrate.

Additional Info: The maze itself is pretty big, but the Chaingun, the Angel of Death, and the ammo requiered to kill him aren't that far away. You don't want an army of ghost following you around, neither...

ID Software is the pioneer of FPS games. No doubts about it.

Yeah, id software has NEVER been much on the storyline. Seriously, I have nearly all of their games and the sorylines aren't exactly riviting.

But the GAMES? It's like every year or two id software churns out a groundbreaking game. Wolf 3-D basically introduced the world to first person shooting in 3-d (although id does have a precurser tank shooting game), then Doom conveys horror reality, then Quake sends you to Hell again and so on and so forth.

My favorite boss is Hitler!

I usually don't use strategy on this bastard.I just hold down the fire button and go as close to him as possible.Oh,did you know?The bastard's name is Josef Mengele.(When I say bastard,I mean the Angel of Death.B.J. is a symbol of victory!)

@johnlewisbrooks If there wasn't id software,first person shooters like Wolfenstein 3D,Spear of Destiny,Doom and Doom 2 were not produced.Now,why the fuck am I telling you this?Because those games were legends that lived up to their names,and id was a great video game company.

@aitraining thats what i love bout this game even if u never played it before if you started a level nd that music was there you said ok boss if you stepped out of the lift and saw health and ammo everywhere you said shi* hard boss :P

by looking on this level you can clearly tell that it was the beginning of inspiration for future games like Doom and Quake.
