it is quite true, their life is a profound testament to the limits of survival for life on this planet. just thinking of that image of the circle the penguins make in the winter, all bunched together, some showing visible patches of layered ice on their bodies, reminds me of how remarkably amazing these beautiful animals are. cheers from san diego

You don't fully understand just how badass penguins are until you see "March of the Penguins," either. Every time I have a bad day I tell myself, "It could be worse. I could be a penguin." (I'm sure someone will take that comment the wrong way.)
Anyhow, I love these little guys. Almost too cute to be real <3
