  • hey litefoot i wanted to ask was that Martha Redbone on one of your tracks and also i wanted to say i made a fan video to your song my land its called original Americans

  • No, Martha and I have performed together but we have yet to do a song. That would be hot though! I will check out the video and I really appreciate the support!!!! Strength to you and the new album is gonna be the bomb!

  • Btw, sorry if I came off as offensive, shows how much I know about other tribes. Amirite? Oh yeah Indian In the Cupboard was awesome!

  • All good!

  • I'm not trying to be racist or anything, by why are there like white people there? I mean, it surprises me that anything we do is of any concern to them.

  • The people in this video are not "white" people- they're Native...Rememember all of our Tribes haven't had the same experience as other Tribes since first contact(particularly in the East where this was filmed)and their history goes back farther than other Nations in the U.S.. Let's stop looking at our CDIB cards and start looking at the truth. Lets not do anything to speed up the annihilation that was put in place for ALL Tribes by the powers that be. In peace and Truth...blessings!

  • @mrLitefoot im part penobscot and mayan and what you've said in this video has really impacted me as a person and me as a mixed native american.

  • i study my heritage all the time, everyday... so i agree... my tribe are the yaqui people of arizona :) great post mrlitefoot... and your a good actor to... :) i've always believed in the native ways... like i'm sure you've heard this.. but although the white people attacked our people, took our land, and killed our villages and people... they're still considered... my brothers and sisters... and i will always live by that. i believe in my peoples beliefs and my own...

  • I remember when you came to Belcourt,

you did a performance for us and it was amazing.

  • I wish something like this was around years ago. I do have Native American Heritage. However, the way I found out was very interesting. We traced my Great Great Grandfather's name in an Native American Orphanage dated back 100+ years ago. It is sad and tragic of what happened in the past, but hopefully we can all learn from it. :) I have many features, and yet, I am only like 1/32nd or something like that, but no one to really prove it. Keep doing what you are doing man! :)

  • I am not Native, that I know of, so please forgive my ignorance. I am curious though, who is the Grandfather that they speak of praying to?

  • I've always been into my heritage since i first found out i was Native American. i am of Yoeme/Yaqui heritage. I'm a huge fan of urs man. I think schools also should have a native american history class but to some thats probably not important to them but to me i would love to have a class like that. I been reading more and more on my heritage and learning more and more and now i try to live my life the way they did back then.

  • @DoctorBudd, besides, just because someone looks white doesn't mean that they are white. Genetically speaking the Eastern tribes have about a 30% admixture but it varies by individual. Some of them are pure-blooded while others are barely half. Sometimes you got some that aren't even native American but were raised in that type of environment so they adopt it. My dad's mostly white yet he was raised in a predominately indigenous culture but he doesn't claim to be Native American though.
