@computers734 As a Southerner in the US of Ulster-Scots descent I couldn't agree more. There is a renewed interest in our people here in Dixie in our Scottish roots (most Southerners are of Scottish ancestry), which I see as a very positive thing in this bland, Americanised world - which I for one reject. I love what this band is doing. I wish more folks would hold tight to their traditions, roots & identities rather than trading them in for consumerism and whatever the latest pop star fad is.

Totaly agree with every word the guy said! too many kids in scotland and youbg people in general couldnt give a toss about Scotland. They care more about America. I have even heard some people trying to talk with an American twag! We need to make sure people want to learn more about our past.

I appreciate what Jamesie said. I've seen so many "F-you Yank, you don't know, you're not a Scot, you don't live here", etc. Maybe it's because of the ignorance of many Americans, how we behave abroad, and seem to not take the time to really educate ourselves about what Scotland truly is. Don't be offended that there is a proud Scottish diaspora around the world. I'm proud to play the piobaireachd, to know the land, and to have made friends with many that live there. I agree with everything he just said!! I'm a Pacific Islander who was born and raised in the U.S but I've been in love with Scotland since i was young. I love its history, land, attire, people, accent, culture and its breath taking beatiiful highlands! Now i'm in my early twenties and i own a collection of books all about Scotland ... I will go visit Scotland when i'm done with graduate school in 2 more years.. It has been my ultimate dream to see,feel,smell,touch, and taste that country! <3
