Children of the Stars is the remarkable true story of the Chinese Feng Jia Wei family.
They come to Beijing in a state of suicidal crisis as they cannot cope with their violent autistic son. He is also unable to speak or connect with them on any emotional level. His mother and father have brought him to the city to attend a special course at The Stars & Rain Institute of Autism. Their hope is to find a "miracle" cure. The film follows them as they grow to understand their son has a life-long condition whilst undergoing a deeply touching journey that reveals the incredible power and tenderness of parental love.

  • i wish some peopl spend a week being mother or father of disabled child. i remember my daughter haveing them melt downs and broke my heart because i was the father and yet wasn't able to get in there and help her. so assholes that judge kids with autism don't judge unless you lived in our shoes .

  • @jb55101 oh wow u just summed it up beautifully. I know what ur saying because i see it everyday. With a mom who works in social work and a severly autistic brother i have spent 18 years of my life as a witness and big brother to my big brother. I am so thankful for him and our family who help us out whenever we need them because he has taught us to be so thankful for what we do have and the oppertuntiites not only i have been given (Horseback riding) but also for making life not cookie cutter

  • wooow I wish i got to do that when I was little, hell I wanna do it now 1:42

  • I cried watching this and I am at work! They where honest about their feelings.

  • Great trailer. I burst into tears with happiness for those kids loved and cared by all. I once worked as a volunteer at this school duriny my college years. The first time I heard the girl I was taking care of responded to my calling her name, I was moved to tears, exactly the same happiness after watching the trailer. Hope one day i can do more for these kids.
