Bucharest Wind Orchestra is the first symphonic Wind Orchestra of Romania. It was founded by Mr. Florin Ciofica in 2004 with the support of Sylvia Petre and Aurel Manciu.

These three founders have a strong musical background, Mr. Florin Ciofica graduated the National Music Academy from Bucharest, Mrs. Sylvia Petre graduated Julliard School of Arts from USA and Mr. Aurel Manciu is the Music Director at Standmusik Elzak. All this professional input gave this orchestra a strong help to develop a very high level of interpretation and the ability of understanding of different types of music.

The orchestra is composed from the best graduated students of Bucharest Music Academy.
