As an unhappy Dish Network customer I decided to post 2 videos showing my faulty unit in action. This is the 4th unit they have given me within the last year and a half. I am very disappointed in their customer service at this point in time.
if u been replacing just the box, try just to replace the remote, i saw that crazy thing before and after replacing 3 times just the box, we found out that the problem was the same old remote that we'd been used it.
Tell the next tech out that the cabling in the house needs to be replaced. Sounds like you have had some crappy techs out there. And if the electrical outlet checks out bad then it needs to be fixed..... plain and simple...... fix your sh*t.
Have a similar thing with the 612, replaced 5 already, all of them were freezing up requiring a full reset. The latest one they sent me is even worse then all the other ones. I so want to punch every dish tech who dreams up a new way to explain the issue. Here are the top 3
1 Hard drive devices have to crash many times to "break in"
2 Your electrical plug is bad, we need to sent somebody, pay us $20
No Doubt! We are on our second 512 DVR . replaced only weeks apart, now this one is doing the same thing as well! -While watching a recorded show while another is recording, when finished with the playback of recordedshow, it knocks live recording process off the air and searches for satellites ruining the recording of THAT show. It does this every time we are recording something and view a DVR'd show. 10 years with dish, time to test the DirecTV waters...Cust service is a joke!
612 is the worst box ever. Dish has a bunch of blind retards that still dont think that 612 has problems
