Curious as to why KJV enthusiasts never compare scriptures with the CLV

@33rdbook Ah yes, I knew about the Septuagint. They say it was before the time of Christ, and that it was quoted in the NT, but they've never found one shred of evidence that it was that early. Ok, well I had seen before in a book two lines of Hebrew manuscripts, one from Daniel Bloomberg (or Bomberg) and the other the Leningrad Codex by Kittle. That's why I wondered.

@IDV82atl ...In the Holy Bible it speaks of God....and the "god" of this world. Most people don't know that.

@vachief GOD is plural in the Bible, never singular. Adam is not a proper name, it means Mankind. Heaven means Stars. Christians are taught to let others live their lives but I've never met one who did. I'm from a strong religious people; An Amish grandmother, a Cherokee grandmother (spiritual not religious) and 7 generations of Old Regular Baptist and all 3 are true to their belief systems which begins with the simple act of respect and love all life. The Bible is a small tidbit of the truth.

@IDV82atl ....A good question to ask....is what god? I'm a strong supporter of separation of church and state, but if I had to bet 10 bucks, I'd say the Sarah Palins of this country will eventually gain power and turn our republic into a theocracy. Ron Paul has been watching this problem for a long time. As a Christian we are taught to let others live thier lives as they see fit, but she doesn't, nor does Michelle Bachmann see it that way.
You have the traditional Hebrew text that has been followed and preserved for years, but you also have something called the Septuagint. The Septuagint is a Greek translation of the Old Testament. It's the Septuagint that's different in some places from the traditional Hebrew text. Some scholars like to refer to the Septuagint (also called LXX) instead of the traditional text, especially in areas where the LXX is obviously watered down. Some will tell you that LXX was written B.C. but it wasnt

I have a question. . . You talked about the two lines of Greek manuscripts. . . but some of your quotes are from the OT. Are there two lines of Hebrew manuscripts as well?

@bmwhite1611 The Septuagint is what they would prefer to give to you instead of the traditional Hebrew text. There are numerous mistakes in the Septuagint LXX and in spite of what some very popular preachers profess it can't possibly be B.C. and even if it was no apostle ever used it.
