Watch as they connect 2 train carriages to each other. This is performed daily at Kanazawa-bunko station, Keikyu Line on the Shinagawa bound Limited Express trains. I took this video while standing inside the train. When the video angle shakes (more than usual), that's the moment the trains are connected/merged. The original train is a 8 car train, 4 extra cars are merged onto it so it becomes a 12 car train. The last 4 cars are special because at a later station they are disconnected to travel to Haneda Airport.
