I took a photo every minute of the Sun being eclipsed by using the method of projection from a telescope. I then combined all the images to make a video, but some of the quality was lost in this process. The video runs at 150 times the real speed of the eclipse.

I had to stop recording a little after mid eclipse as the Sun was going behind trees. Also there are a couple of glitches where I had to move the telescope, camera and card onto which I was projecting into a different place because of tree shadows.

  • thats a perfect moon

  • This eclipse was annular over Antarctica and the south pacific. It's great to this video of the eclipse. I can't wait to see any pictures of the eclipse when it was annular, if there will be any. Great video. 5 STARS.

  • That is actually REALLY cool! I like to watch it it not as a mere crescent shape, but as if I am atually looking at the sun with the moon passing in front of it. That makes it much more interesting.
