Wanna know how I got these scars? My father, was a drinker...and a fiend. And one night, he goes off craaaazier than usual. Mommy gets the kitchen to defend herself. He doesnt like that. Not...one...bit. So, me watching, he takes the knife to her, laughing while he does it. He turns to me, and he says, "Why so serious?". Comes at me with the knife, "Why so serious?!". Sticks the blade in my mouth, "Let's put a smile on that face." Aaaand, why so serious?

@JDreamProductions Or he's lying. You made a good point, but keep in mind that he told two different stories in the movie. His eye movements could simply be a sign that he was making it up.

Notice how he starts close his eyes more when telling his scar stories! This is because he is either re-living the horror or trying to peice together what actualy happened considering he may suffer from post dramatic stress disorder
