  • with the hair loss, it's NOT because you aren't eating protein, it's just the "shock" of the loss of wt, surgery, etc to hair follicle. my hair loss was the worst from 4-6 mos...our hair grows back when we have even less protein later...so, it WILL grow back..

    btw~ you look great~!

    i'm OFF cpap!! i was a 7 before surgery..

    it's great getting healthy!

  • That is absolutely awesome!

I love getting healthy now only if I could just shake this "laziness." LOL!

  • As I watch ur videos I'm imspired, wow! U look nice,I juz had my bypass on the 7th I'm wndrng hw long does it takes frm the sorness frm the incisions to leave.....look GrrEat!!!!!!!!!

  • @fattymaddy to be precise. it is NOT about PROTEIN... 3 months post op you WILL lose hair, it is 1st from anesthesia and 2nd from malabsorption. my program required 90-120 gms of protein daily, I NEVER MISSED ANY PROTEIN.. but, i did miss large amounts of "other" foods. the normal hair follicle has a life span of 3 months.... that's why you WILL lose hair beginning 3 mos post op and it will last approx 6 mos, with regrowth best at 9-12 months, some NEVER get a full head of hair back... i did!

  • @saphre1964 Actually hair loss will most likely occur when you have bariatric surgery. It can happen because of stress, you are right there. But, Bariatric surgery can cause hair loss due to a lack of protein and or other essential nutrients thats the "shock" u speak of. the surgeon i spoke to 3 years ago explained this to me. Now that i am ready to have the surgery another surgeon from the same team explained this to me again and so did his patient education team.

  • Te miras muy bien amigo.

  • congrats on the success!! you look great!!! =^)

  • wow what a difference already!

  • I get that pain too around my port area (lapband procedure) when i've eaten too much. That pain you feel is probably your pouch as the stomach is on the left side.

  • you look great!!!! the exercise will really jump start the crazy weight loss all over again. i have found that if i don't work out, i don't lose. the 2nd week of christmas vacation i didn't exercise at all, and i only lost 1 pound.

i call the spitty mouth, foamies. that is a horrible feeling.........cuz you feel like you have to keep spitting.... ugh!!!!

  • Thank you, I really needed a lift and your words were inspiring and appreciated, you look real good, keep it up!

  • great update..I wish I could get motivated to do another one too..just nothing new to report...LOL...I did the same thing with deserts at a summer picnic last year, 1 bit of each kind of pie, got so sick like a child with a belly ache...thanks for the update you are doing great
