BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Prime Minister Gordon Brown announced the end of Britain's involvement in the Iraq war on Wednesday, saying almost all its troops would be out by the end of July next year.

Brown's fourth trip to Iraq as prime minister coincided with the drafting by the Iraqi government of a law that obliges British forces to withdraw in mid-2009, more than six years after the U.S.-led invasion.

i dont think its about the oil anymore its gettin redicuolus (cant spell) i think its about savin iraqs people and its not right. the usa and the uk are in iraq afganistan and everywhere and tryin to save there own people but where gettin killed and punished for it. a few days ago the uk announsed that 200 british soliders have now died in war that isnt even bein won. 200+ families hav lost a loved one for nothin no1 should hav got involved in war as it ends sadly so thank god britan is out.

Chris Nineham is talking crap.The UK withdrawal(if it happens)has nothing to do with the cumulative effects of the anti war movement or "domestic pressure" by the "people",,,nah I think it has more to do with Afghanistan and the fact the British economy is up shit creek.The troops the British has there are anyway symbolic,,,around 4000 or so.
