Ron Paul can win the nomination. He wont run third party as his son is a Senator in KY. and if Ron ran third party it would ruin the kids career.

So everyone buying a bread, would pay a similar tax? Everyone buying jeans, would pay a similar tax? Everyone buying a TV, would pay a similar tax?
How does that not hurt poor people more? If you have 100 or 1000 dollars cash, and you have to pay 5 dollars tax, which one of the two suffers more?
The more capital you have, the more you accumulate. If you don't tax high capital earnings, that's a road to elite and slaves. The wealthy would own ever bigger share of the total wealth.
