hi i wish to know that if i got type some password on web on my own laptop, but after that i forget the pasword. i wanted to retrieve the password. is there any software of log that i can retrieve back so that i could get back my password?

i right clicked command prompt, selected "run as administrator" and then it asked me to enter the administrator password

If you have the other admin account than you can reset the main administrator password. If you don't have the other admin account than you can use the reset disk.

ok i have a computer that was bought used from a friend and it has a password on it and i cant get on the computer at all. i dont have the disc's that came with the computer so i cant just reboot it. is there a way to reboot it to its original settings without the disc? i dont care if i loose all the info from the last owner. i cant even get to the desktop to type in what u said to type. any help would be great! other wise i just wasted $150. thanks!
