In the 2008 Guglielmo Marconi Lecture - the Lisbon Council's flagship event on innovation and creativity - Charlie Leadbeater describes the challenges and opportunities for policy makers, innovators, business leaders and citizens in an economy based on mass collaboration.

Drawing on the ideas laid out in his best-selling book, We-Think: Mass Innovation, Not Mass Production, this world-renowned expert on innovation and creativity explains how the economic landscape is changing, and how individuals and institutions thrive in a world where more and more people participate directly in decision making and value creation.

A former advisor to British Prime Minister Tony Blair and the author of four highly acclaimed books, Mr. Leadbeater is one of Europes foremost innovation experts and idea generators. He currently serves as senior fellow at the UKs National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA).
